Today the winery owns a Godello vineyard with an average of 35 years old. Joaquín Rebolledo Godello was the first Galician wine to win the Zarcillo de Oro (1993), this coup d'effect awakened a legend around Valdeorras.

The Joaquín Rebolledo winery is located in Valdeorras, in the northeastern region of the province of Ourense. This natural gateway to Galicia is shaped by a deep, fertile and bright valley, through which the peaceful river Sil flows. Here are our vineyards, occupying an area of 35 hectares perfectly oriented to the sun, with slate and clay soils, where also chestnut and olive trees grow.
Joaquín Rebolledo’s family house has been in operation for more than 4 generations, from where the vineyards of Fontei, Freixido, Trasdeirelas, Pedrazais, A Veiquiña, O Redondo and San Roque can be seen. From the viewpoints of the vineyards, 700 m. altitude, the Sil riverbed with all its vineyards is contemplated in an area where the thermal differences between day and night can exceed 20 degrees.

It is produced entirely with Mencía grapes from the property’s vineyards, which are located in the municipality of A Rúa, in the heart of Valdeorras.
